Now in its sixth year, the S1 SALON returns with a new season of artists' film & video screenings, selected from an international open call. This year's salon has been chosen by guest selectors,Linder (artist), Lisa Le Feuvre (Head of Sculpture Studies at the Henry Moore Institute, Leeds), and Ben Rivers (artist), who will each present one of the salon screenings along with a personal selection of film and video.
S1 Artspace will host three separate salon screenings of work by national and international artists throughout March and April 2012. Each screening is divided into two parts; Part One presents a selection of films from the open call, and Part Two, a personal selection of film and video from each of the guest selectors. Each screening will be introduced by one of the guest selectors.
